Scott’s big basket offset Nigel Hayes’ three-point play with 14 seconds left in the extra period.

Kennesaw Mountain held a 32-27 lead heading to the final quarter, but Campbell rallied to tie the game 39-all with 2 minutes to play. Both teams had opportunites to win the game in regulation, but each possession ended in a defensive stop.

Nick Mitchell led the Spartans with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Scott finished with 10 points and five assists.

Hayes led Kennesaw Mountain with 16 points and Miles Inman added 13.

Campbell (14-7, 7-5) will host Marietta on Friday while Kennesaw Mountain (12-7, 7-4) will host Pebblebrook.

Whitefield Academy 59, St. Francis 51: The Wolfpack had one of their best defensive efforts all season, sticking with a full-court, man-to-man pressure and upsetting their highly regarded opponent.

Whitefield only had nine turnovers for the game and shot 81 percent from the free-throw line.

Eric Lockett had 18 to lead Whitefield and added 11 rebounds and five assists. Berto Dryden chipped in with 14 points and just missed a double-double with nine assists. Brendan Myles was also in double figures with 11.

Whitefield (9-8, 5-4 Region 6A) got the lead for good with 2 minutes to go on a 3 by Dryden and took care of busness on the free-throw line afterwards. The Wolfpack outscored St. Francis 20-9 in the fourth quarter.

Whitefield will attempt to maintain momentum Friday at North Cobb Christian.

North Cobb 66, South Cobb 35: The Warriors nailed nine 3-pointers in their one-sided Region 4AAAAAA win at home.

Jon Beausejour accounted for five of those 3s and led 19 points. Jordan Neff had 10 points and seven rebounds, while Lee Moore and Austin Jacobs also finished with 10 points. Dennis Young-Coleman had six assists.

North Cobb (16-3, 10-1) will travel to Harrison on Friday.

Allatoona 59, Rome 54: Mario Baggs had 15 to lead the Buccaneers’ balanced scoring attack and keep them undefeated in Region 5AAAAA play.

Daniel Fowler contributed with 10 and Austin Faulkner had nine.

Allatoona (16-4, 7-0) started the game on a 9-3 run and hit three of its first four 3-point attempts. The game was tied 23-all at one point before Allatoona went ahead 32-29 lead at the half.

The Buccaneers went on a late run to build a 51-41 lead before Rome attempted a comeback but came shot.

Allatoona will host North Paulding on Friday.

North Cobb Christian 85, King’s Ridge Christian 35: The Eagles raced out for 74 points through three quarters and cruised to the Region 6A victory.

Hulian Terrell had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, also adding three blocks. Keyshawn Butts added 11 points, Alex Ho-On 10 and eight each for Stephon Jelks and Elijah Weems.

Jelks also came through with eight rebounds, Weems had four steals and Hunter Ware had six assists and six steals to go with his seven points.

North Cobb Christian (17-2, 8-0) will host Whitefield on Friday, looking to complete a season sweep of its county rival.

Mount Paran Christian 71, Walker 38: The Eagles led 33-18 at halftime and outscored the Wolverines 38-20 in the second half en route to the Region 6A (B) home victory.

Blake Jones scored 11 of his 20 points in the third quarter for Mount Paran (14-3, 6-3), while Jordan VerSteeg added 13 points and six rebounds. Brandon Barnes also contributed 12 points, nine steals and seven assists for Mount Paran.

Cole Warner paced Walker, which has lost 15 straight games, with 17 points. Robert Baker added 11.

Mount Paran is at King’s Ridge Christian on Friday, while Walker is at Fellowship Christian.

Hillgrove 62, Marietta 52: Kyle Castlin scored a game-high 20 points and the Hawks came away with a Region 4AAAAAA victory on the road.

John Franklin scored 12 points and Keith Ray added 11 as Hillgrove led the whole way.

Jonathan Fowler scored 18 points and D.J. Bostick finished with 10 for Marietta.

The Hawks (17-3, 9-3) will host McEachern on Friday while the Blue Devils (5-15, 2-10) travel to Campbell.

McEachern 55, Pebblebrook 54: Jalil Braxton scored nine of his 23 points in the final quarter to help lift the Indians to a one-point Region 4AAAAAA road victory.

The Falcons had a chance to pull out the win in the final seconds, but the shot didn’t go down, and McEachern tipped the ball as far away from the basket as it could as time ran out.

Logan McIntosh finished the night with 18 points for the Indians.

Pebblebrook had three players in double figures, with Ty Hudson scoring 15 points to lead the way. D.J. Carter and Kevin Quarels each finished with 10.

McEachern (11-8, 6-5) at Hillgrove on Friday, while Pebblebrook (7-9,

2-9) will travel to Kennesaw Mountain.

Dominion Christian 77, Heritage School 40: Harrison Kristofak connected on five 3-pointers in the opening quarter to help the Knights roll.

Dominion scored 34 points in the first 8 minutes to jump to a 22-point lead and were not threatened.

Kristofak scored 24 points, all on his eight 3-pointers. The Knights connected on 13 3s for the game.

Tate Cooney had 19 points and Courtney Alexander Jr. added 10 for Dominion (13-5), which will travel to Trinity Christian on Friday.

Shiloh Hills Christian 40, Killian Hill Christian 28: The Challengers led 16-15 at halftime, but a 16-7 third-quarter outburst kept them in front en route to the road win.

Jason Allen totaled 11 points for Shiloh Hills (7-9). Jon Allen drained three 3-pointers and totaled nine points, while Ryan Pierce added eight points and four assists. Adam Smothers collected 16 rebounds to go with three points.

Shiloh Hills will host Grace Baptist on Friday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

North Cobb 88, South Cobb 13:
The Lady Warriors dressed eight, and all eight scored in the one-sided Region 4AAAAAA affair.

Aniyah Corley had 18 points to lead North Cobb. Chantel Strahorn added 17, Amber Reeves 16, Sierra Barrino 14 and Alexis Luster 13.

The Lady Warriors, who will play at Harrison on Friday, kept South Cobb scoreless in the first quarter before building a 58-5 halftime lead.

North Cobb will play at Harrison on Friday.

Kell 54, Riverwood 26: Caliya Robinson had 23 points to lead the Lady Longhorns in Region 7AAAAA play.

China Henderson added 10 points for Kell (14-2, 7-2), which jumped on Riverwood early, taking a 20-8 first-quarter lead.

Naomi Stuger held Riverwood’s leading scorer, Hannah Almire, scoreless after Almire scored 22 in Kell’s first meeing with the Lady Raiders. Almire’s three points came in the fourth quarter with Stuger on the bench.

McEachern 86, Pebblebrook 59: Despite deep foul trouble and a heavy discrepancy at the free-throw line, the Lady Indians still won the Region 4AAAAAA game handily.

Pebblebrook took 57 shots from the free-throw line, making 30, far outnumbering McEachern’s 16-for-26 total at the line. The Lady Indians (11-9, 7-2) had one player foul out, and four others on the verge with four fouls apiece.

Te’A Cooper led McEachern with 21 points, eight assists and seven steals, while Jada Lewis had 19 points, four assists and five steals. Tarina Rosser had eight points.

Whitney Young scored a game-high 24 points for Pebblebrook, Mandi Aguebor had 17 and Precious Walker 10.

McEachern will travel to cross-town rival Hillgrove on Friday, with Pebblebrook going to Kennesaw Mountain.

Osborne 63, Sprayberry 56: Zutorya Cook scored 11 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Lady Cardinals to a Region 7AAAAA victory.

Cook also started a big Osborne run in the second quarter. Trailing 12-6, she scored eight points during a 25-11 run that allowed the Lady Cardinals to carry a 31-23 lead into halftime.

The victory was the second for Osborne over Sprayberry this season. The Lady Cardinals won 69-52 in the first meeting.

Nikira Goings had 11 points with five rebounds, Raven Brown finished with 11 points and four rebounds and Malea Maye added eight points and 18 boards. Cook also added six assists, five rebounds and five steals.

Neena Carter led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 24 points.

Osborne (16-3, 9-1) will travel to Kell on Friday while Sprayberry (16-5, 6-4) will travel to Pope.

Campbell 54, Kennesaw Mountain 43: After dominating the first quarter, the Lady Spartans had to sweat it out a bit in the Region 4AAAAAA game.

Campbell (11-10, 6-6) outscored Kennesaw Mountain (3-16, 0-11) by a 22-6 margin in the first quarter, then had to withstand the Lady Mustangs’ 37-32 edge the rest of the way.

D’Asia Cain led the Lady Spartans with 13 points and six steals, while Julie McKie just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Kanchi Patel had nine points for Campbell, which will host Marietta on Friday.

Rachel Irby’s 18 points and Amber Hutchins’ 11 led Kennesaw Mountain, which will host Pebblebrook on Friday.

Allatoona 52, Rome 45: The Lady Buccaneers got off to a big start and cruised to the win before letting up in the final period.

Off the strength of a 20-9 first-quarter edge, Allatoona (10-6, 8-3 Region 5AAAAA) took a 19-point lead into the fourth quarter.

Alexis Ezell was one of four double-digit scorers with 12 points. Alyssa Dobson and Brianna Middleton each had 11 and Jessica Finch 10.

JaNoah Daniels’ defensive effort also helped Allatoona, which will host North Paulding on Friday.

Mount Paran Christian 57, Walker 41: After clinging to a 13-10 first-quarter lead, the Lady Eagles outscored the Lady Wolverines 16-6 in the second quarter and 17-10 in the third to put the Region 6A (B) home game out of reach.

Brianna Brown, who had seven rebounds, scored 15 points for Mount Paran (9-6, 6-1) as did Renee VanHorn, who also drained three 3-pointers. Sarah Kelly scored nine points off three 3s, and Emily Spillane added seven rebounds to go with her four points. Shannon McGeary contributed six points.

Honor Stoner paced Walker (9-8, 5-3) with nine points. Brooke Warner totaled eight.

Mount Paran will host Pace Academy on Saturday, while Walker is at Fellowship Christian on Friday.

Shiloh Hills Christian 58, Killian Hill Christian 34: Bri Domalik finished with 19 points and six steals as the Lady Challengers romped after a quick start.

Darby McCosh added a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds, and Hannah Smothers scored 14. Samantha Henderson had five of the team’s 18 total steals.

Shiloh Hills (14-3) will host Grace Baptist on Friday.
