Elizabeth "Lib" Brown, 89 of Marietta died Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Services will be held on 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Dr. William Camp & Diane Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. Mrs. Brown was a member for over 60 years of Roswell Street Baptist Church and a member of the Ruth Sunday school class. She also was a member of the YWCA. Survivors include her husband of 69 years Charles M. Brown; son, Mike Brown; daughter & son-in-law, Joan & Ronald Pittman all from Marietta; three sisters, Glennell Adams of Kennesaw; Bea McHan of Marietta; Pat Joyner of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Bobby McNelley of Ohio; five grandchildren, Annie Gentles, Andy & Liz Brown; Mikie & Hye Brown; Brian & Robin Pittman; Katy Pittman; five great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, John McNelley & Iris Crawford McNelley; her brothers, Harold McNelley, Raymond McNelley, Jack McNelley and a sister, Laura Mae Ledford. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society-Cobb County Unit, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd., Kennesaw, GA 30144. In the short time that I had the pleasure of knowing her she was the niciest person I'd ever known. She was very kind hearted and very giving. I will miss our lunches but most of all I will miss her.
