"Several weeks of negative, over the top attacks by our opponents haven't worked," Handel's campaign reports. "She's in second place and poised to be in the run-off against John Oxendine.
With only four weeks until the primary and with Nathan Deal close behind in third place, we know the negative attacks will continue, as our opponents grow more desperate."
The Survey USA results show, of likely voters, Oxendine at 34 percent, Handel 18 percent, Deal 17 percent and Eric Johnson at 6 percent.
Of those who have already voted, the poll shows 30 percent for Oxendine, 22 percent for Handel, 19 percent for Deal, 5 percent for Ray McBerry and 4 percent for Johnson.
"Unfortunately, our main opponents have ethical issues that will certainly be exploited by Roy Barnes in the General Election. Karen is the only Republican candidate who can win in November," Handel's campaign states in a releases.
