William Henry Roddy, 84, of Austell, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009. Services will be at 2pm on Sunday, December 6, 2009, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Wayne Collett officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Roddy had lived most of his life in Cobb County. He was retired from the Veteran's Administration where he was employed as a Loan Guarantee Officer. He was also a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII. Mr. Roddy was also a member of the Lake Forrest Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Roddy; son and daughter-in-law, David and Darlene Roddy of Powder Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Earnie Still of Marietta; sister, Rachel Roddy Thomas of Marietta; brother, Crawford Roddy of Mableton; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
