Betty Lee

Betty Lee West-Wheeler, age 76, died August 19, 2009, with her family by her side in Cumming, Georgia. At her request, no services will be held. Ms. Wheeler was born June 18, 1933, in Encanto, California to Alonzo and Eileen West. Betty was a strong, independent, and determined woman who could accomplish anything she set her mind to do. She worked many years in management for Southern Bell , and retired in 1989. She was on of the first women to work in management within the company. She is survived by her son, John Anderson Wheeler, Jr., Marion Keith Wheeler, and Richard Allen Wheeler, Daughter-in-law, Yvonne Wheeler and four granchildren: Leeandra West, Kimberly Ann Wheeler, Johnathon Allen Wheeler, and Tiffany Dawn Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her son, John William West. She will be missed greatly by her family and everyone who knew her.
