A wastewater manhole overflow, resulting in an estimated 380 gallons discharged into a creek, occurred at 12:59 p.m. on Sunday, at 325 Six Flags Drive in Austell. The overflow was stopped at 3:50 p.m.
Water system workers observed that sewage had run down the hill into the creek covering a 30-foot long and 20-foot wide area. Workers flushed the line with water using a jet machine and cleaned up the spill area with lime.
