With Emoni Williams, Taylor Trammell and Jake Allen on the Mount Paran Christian offense, sometimes even Dorian Walker could get overlooked.

That wasn’t the case Saturday. Walker ran for 147 yards, including a 42-yard touchdown run. He also caught two passes for 70 yards, one of which was a 66-yard touchdown.

His effort help the No. 6 Eagles upset No. 4 Eagle’s Landing Christian in the opening game of the Battleground Kickoff Classic on Saturday at A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium.

That effort also helped Walker earn honors as the Cobb Football Friday Player of the Week for the opening week of the season.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Walker comes into his senior year off a season in which he ran for 911 yards with 17 touchdowns and was a Class A allstate honorable mention selection.
