GOLETA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say four people and a dog have been found stabbed to death inside a Southern California home.
Santa Barbara County sheriff's spokeswoman Kelly Hoover says the sole suspect in the killings in the coastal city of Goleta (goh-LEE'-tuh) is a 46-year-old man. He was taken into custody without incident.
Hoover says the department is investigating the incident as a multiple homicide.
All the victims were dead when deputies arrived at the house in the Walnut Park area late Monday.
Deputies were still investigating the crime scene early Tuesday.
The names of the victims and suspect are being withheld pending notification of family.
Goleta is a city of 30,000 people about 10 miles northwest of Santa Barbara.
