After graduating from Perimeter College as a registered nurse, she worked at DeKalb Medical Center, retiring after 30 years. She was a compassionate and caring nurse and received countless praises and letters of appreciation from grateful patients that were in her care. Betty was a former member of First Baptist Church of Stone Mountain. She was very active in church and other activities, including Order of the Eastern Star, the local AARP chapter, gardening clubs and neighborhood groups. They attended Christ Lutheran Church until moving into assisted living. She and Pat were inseparable. Everywhere they went, Pat or Betty would mention how long they had been married: “Sixty-six years and still in love.” Now, they are reunited again. She is survived by three sons, David Price (Dorothy) of Powder Springs, Steve Price, of Auburn, GA, and Dennis Price (Cindy), of Lawrenceville; sister, Alice May James, of Marion, SC; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
