As a sponsor of the 2014 U.S. Amateur Championship, State Bank & Trust Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of State Bank Financial Corporation — which is the holding company of State Bank and Trust Company — announced Monday it is donating tickets that will entitle any person age 23 and under free admission to the U.S. Amateur Championship finals Aug. 17. The U.S. Amateur will be held at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek.

The tickets will be available now through Aug. 15 at all metro Atlanta State Bank branches in Midtown, Buckhead, Marietta, Norcross and Alpharetta. State Bank is also encouraging any nonprofit organizations to attend the tournament. To recommend a nonprofit that would like to receive vouchers, readers can go to or they can contact any metro Atlanta State Bank branch for more information.

All youth receiving tickets will also receive a specially designed State Bank & Trust T-shirt and will be eligible for State Bank prizes at the championship event. Tickets and T-shirts are available while supplies last.

“State Bank is proud to be a sponsor of the U.S. Amateur. This is our way of helping young people in our community gain exposure to the game of golf and witness in person some of the world’s future stars up close,” said Mike Sims, executive vice president and Senior Banking Officer of State Bank.
