Brian Keith Sulmonetti, 56, left us all too soon on Friday, July 25, 2014. He was a most beloved son, brother, friend, husband and most of all father. Born in Maryland, Brian earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science & Economics, and Master’s degree in Development Banking from The American University in Washington, D.C. He was a champion wrestler at Patapsco High School in Baltimore, Maryland, and wrestled all four years at American. As an avid sports fanatic, he continued his love by volunteering as a coach for a wide variety of sports in which his sons participated. Brian had a long and successful career in the regulatory/government relations field. He was very well respected in the industry, and most recently worked among great friends at AGL Resources. Brian loved to travel, but his biggest passion was his family; although, The Baltimore Orioles came in a close second. As a devoted husband & father, nothing made him happier than spending time with his immediate family. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Brenda & twin sons Cole Alec & Taylor Phillip; parents Earl & Juanita Sulmonetti; sisters Bonnie Brooks & Karen Sulmonetti-Short; brothers-in-law Wayne Brooks & Bill Short; niece Melissa Fleming; nephews Carson Brooks & Mateo Short; and many other extended family members. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, July 30th at 11:00 am at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to either Habitat for Humanity or The American University Wrestling Program. Checks may be made out to AU Wrestling: AU Athletic Department C/O David Dierwirth 4400 Massachusetts Ave. NW Washington D.C. 20016 (In memo section of the check write “In memory of Brian Sulmonetti”)

Brian was a friend to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my friend. God's blessing on your family at this time of sorrow. He loved you and ALWAYS talked about how proud he was of his boys and Brenda.
