Out of Box Theatre will open its second season with “The Terrible Tragedy of Peter Pan” through Aug. 2.

“The Terrible Tragedy of Peter Pan” is an adult retelling of the classic children’s story that delves into the dark side of J.M. Barrie and walks a terrifying tightrope between cradle and grave. It investigates what it actually means to grow up: why would we want to and what are we missing if we do not?

Executive Director Christopher Dills takes the helm as director, set, lighting and costume designer and much more.

The production is not for children.

“The Terrible Tragedy of Peter Pan” runs to Aug. 2 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

Out of Box Theatre is at the Artisan Resource Center at 585 Cobb Parkway South, Marietta. Tickets are $20 to $25 and can be purchased at www.outofboxtheatre.com or by calling (678) 653-4605.
