Carolyn was born in Smyrna, GA to the late Hollis Clive Dunton and Nellie Humphries Dunton. She was happy being a homemaker and taking care of her family but she was very proud of her time volunteering with Central Georgia Hospice and working as a substitute teacher for the Bibb and Bartow County school systems. She especially looked forward to Fall and taking trips to the mountains to see the beautiful leaves as they changed colors and she also spent time doing geneology. Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Watson Flythe of Juliette, their son Tom (Tricia) Flythe of Juliette, a brother, James (Maureen) Humphries of Columbus, 2 grandchildren; Branson and Gavin Flythe of Juliette, a nephew Jim Humphries of Milledgeville, and 3 life long friends; Janice Calhoun, Margaret Caudle, and Cathryn Olympiadis. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11:00 am with Reverend Tim Steffen officiating.
