Lorna Sue Goltz Roper, 64, of Grayson, GA, died June 4, 2014. Lorna was born September 2, 1949 in South Dakota. Mrs. Roper lived in the Marietta and Acworth area most of her life, until recently moving to Grayson in 2012 to live with her son, Sam Roper, daughter-in-law, Amy Barron Roper, and her two grandchildren, Samantha and Quentin Roper. Lorna married her high school sweetheart, the late Michael Quentin Roper. Together, they had three children, Sam, and twin daughters, Angela Seale and Jessica Roper.  Both are both living in Hoover, Alabama. Lorna is also survived by six brothers and sisters, Gwen Goltz Hill, Charlene Goltz Knight, Randall Goltz, John Goltz, Charles Goltz Jr., and Alan Goltz. Lorna spent the last 23 years volunteering & fundraising for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Georgia.  Her late husband passed away in 2012 from complications with his MS. A celebration of the lives of Lorna and Mike Roper will be held in Snellville, on Saturday October 11, 2014.  October is a special month for the Roper’s, as it marks Lorna & Mike’s 44th Wedding Anniversary, and also the family’s 5th Annual Drive for MS Golf Tournament. In lieu of flowers, Lorna’s wishes were for donations to be made to the Golf Tournament. All proceeds will be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Georgia Chapter. 770-428-1511
