Martha Madge Clackum McClure of Ocean Springs, MS, formerly from Covington, GA, and Marietta, GA, passed through this life surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 13, 2014. Martha was the daughter of the late J.D. Clackum and Maudie Henry Clackum of Marietta, Ga. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Sue Williams, as well as brothers and sisters.  Martha is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerry McClure, Sr.; her children, JoAnn and Anthony Williams of Ocean Springs, MS; Jerry and Beatrice McClure of Ocean Springs, MS; Ken and Rene McClure of Rochester, NY and son-in-law Reese Williams of Buford, GA. Grandchildren:  Jonathan Porter, Alisha Porter, Chris McClure, Amy and Josh Murphy, Jessica McClure, Christy McClure, Jenny McClure, Holstun Williams, Jeremy Williams, Brittany Snead, Christopher Rivers, Felicia and Mike Anderson.  Great-grandchildren: Dylon Williams, Hayden Murphy, Charlotte Snead, Jolie Snead, Cassidi Porter, Caitlin Burrow and Cameron Burrow. Martha worked as a Registered Nurse most of her life in both a hospital setting and a doctor’s office.  She also taught nursing in her later years.  She served the Lord each and every day and always took care of her husband and her family.  Mayes-Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church St., Marietta, GA will be handling the funeral.  Visitation will be Friday, July 18th between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM; Funeral services will be in the Mayes-Ward Dobbins Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Carl Braswell officiating with burial in the Mountain View Cemetery.  “God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be; so he put his arms around her and whispered, come home with me”.
