Richard Sailors Jr. of Marietta, a Cobb County monument builder, won a monumental Georgia Lottery prize — a $1 million top prize playing the instant game Maximum Green.

Sailors, 52, claimed his prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta. He plans to purchase a new truck with his winnings.

Mitchell’s Grocery, 800 Old Alabama Road SW in Mableton, sold the winning ticket.

The Georgia Lottery instant game Maximum Green features cash prizes and top prizes of $1 million and $5 million, respectively. Players can also enter their non-winning tickets into the monthly Maximum Green Extra Chance Drawing to win one of 10 monthly prizes of $10,000.
