Chick-fil-A Vinings, 2485 Cumberland Parkway SE in the Cumberland area, will have a 1-mile Fun Run race Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The race will start at 7 p.m. at the restaurant in the Publix parking lot. Participants should park at Home Depot.

To register for the event, visit CFAraceseries.com. The registration fee for individuals who sign up on race day is $30. For groups of four or more runners, a 10-percent discount will be applied to the total registration cost. All proceeds from the race will benefit schools in Niger, Africa.

“We’re honored to host the Chick-fil-A Connect Race Series to support Schools for Niger, Africa,” said Jason Bilotti, franchise operator of Chick-fil-A at Vinings and Northside Parkway. “It’s a great chance for us to bring people together and have a positive image on the Vinings community at the same time.”

At the finish line, all participants will receive a dri-fit shirt. Chick-fil-A will also host a free Family Fun Zone that will include inflatables for children.
