Officers complete GPSTC courses

The Georgia Police Academy Division of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth announced that Marietta Police Department Patrol Officer John Bisker and Cameron Wilson of the Cobb County Police Department completed GPSTC courses.

Bisker completed a Basic RADAR Operator course which is designed to improve the effectiveness of speed enforcement through the proper and efficient use of police traffic RADAR speed measurement instruments. Wilson completed the Advanced Roadside Impairment Driving Enforcement course which is designed to enhance law enforcement officer’s ability to recognize the role of traffic enforcement and its relationship to highway safety.

Funding for these programs are provided by the State of Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
