Free health screenings today for National HIV Testing Day

MARIETTA — Cobb residents are invited to get a free health screening, including HIV testing, today in honor of National HIV Testing Day. 

This event is being presented by the Cobb/Douglas Community Services Board.

In addition to free health screenings for diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, BMI measurements and confidential HIV testing, there will be free food, giveaways, games and activities for youth and adults.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cobb Recovery Center, 331 North Marietta Parkway in Marietta.

HIV testing is also conducted weekdays by the LifeLine Project at Cobb Recovery Center. People seeking more information about LifeLine’s services can call (770) 499-2422.

The Cobb and Douglas Community Service Boards provide mental health, developmental disability and substance abuse services to approximately 10,000 residents of Cobb and Douglas counties annually. For information about services, call 770-422-0202.
