AUSTELL — A boy was struck by an SUV in what police say was an accident Wednesday afternoon.

The juvenile, whose name will not be released because he is a minor, crossed the road outside of the crosswalk at Floyd Road at the East-West connector in Austell, police spokesman Mike Bowman said.

“The child was taken the Scottish Rite and an updated condition we do not release (due) to HIPPA,” Bowman said, adding no charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the SUV.
