Qualifying for Marietta Board of Education ends at noon on Wednesday

MARIETTA — The Marietta Board of Education is looking for candidates for an open position representing the southern part of the city.

Anyone who wishes to qualify for the position should visit the West Park Government Center on Whitlock Avenue. The hours to qualify as a candidate are today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon.

There will be a $207.04 fee to qualify.

The position opened after board member Brett Bittner resigned.

A special election will be held to fill the position on Nov. 4 at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy on Aviation Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
