Speaker Ralston announces new committee appointments

House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) announced Thursday the following appointments:

State Rep. John Carson (R-Marietta) was appointed to the House Study Committee on For-Hire Transportation Services. The committee was created by HR 1805 and meetings will be called and scheduled by State Rep. Alan Powell (R-Hartwell), who will serve as chairman.

State Rep. Ed Setzler (R-Acworth) was appointed to the House Study Committee on Autonomous Vehicle Technology. The committee was created by HR 1265 and meetings will be called and scheduled by State Rep. Trey Kelley (R-Cedartown), who will serve as chairman.

State Reps. Sharon Cooper (R-Marietta) and Earl Ehrhart (R-Powder Springs) were appointed to the House Study Committee on Medical Education. The committee was created by HR 1722 and will be called and scheduled by State Rep. Butch Parrish (R-Swainsboro), who will serve as chairman.

State Rep. Matt Dollar (R-Marietta) was appointed to the House Study Committee on the Georgia Alcoholic Beverage Code. The committee was created by HR 1599 and meetings will be called and scheduled by Rep. Howard Maxwell (R-Dallas), who will serve as chairman.
