Class to teach seniors how to recognize frauds, scams

The Freeman Poole Senior Center in Smyrna will have Recognizing Consumer Fraud and Scams for ages 55 and older on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Seniors can learn more about the latest scams being perpetuated on the unsuspecting public including the top 10 consumer frauds, the top 10 consumer myths, and internet/e-commerce scams such as “phishing” and identity theft.

The presentation will be made by a representative from the Georgia Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs and there will be a Q&A session.

The Freeman Poole Senior Center is at 4025 S. Hurt Road in Smyrna.
