Martha Eleanor Ferguson Thomason, age 66, of Marietta ,died on May 31, 2014. Born December 31, 1947, Eleanor is the daughter of Ruby F. Perez and Ray Guy Ferguson, Sr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Bob Blanz; their children Brittany, Buck and Hayden; daughter and son-in-law Danette (Dani) and Col. Allen Reeves; their children Will and Rae; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Andreas Muehlenz; and their children Ruby and Christopher; daughter and son-in-law Julie and John Fulcher and their daughter Jillian. Her sister, Dorothy Geldbaugh, also survives Eleanor. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby F. Perez, father

Ray Guy Ferguson, Sr. and her brother Ray Guy Ferguson, Jr. Eleanor was a loving mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. She loved to learn and passed that legacy on to each of her daughters. Eleanor was an active member of St. Teresa’s Episcopal Church. She was an avid collector of books and other fine artifacts. Above all, Eleanor believed in the strength and love of family. The memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa’s Episcopal Church, 5725 Fords Rd. NW, Acworth, GA, 30101, (770) 590-9040. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to St. Teresa’s Episcopal Church’s Building Fund.
