“We are proud of Manon’s appointment to such an exemplary board dedicated to the betterment of our community,” said Kevin Greiner, Gas South president/CEO. “Her tenacity, dedication and commitment to this community will prove to be true assets to the Salvation Army’s cause.”
Gas South has partnered with the Salvation Army for several years and participates in Project SHARE, a program dedicated to providing utility payment assistance to low-income households. The program provides financial assistance to more than 40,000 Georgians annually. Gas South customers can donate money on their monthly natural gas bills to contribute to Project SHARE, and Gas South will match each donation up to $10 per month.
The Salvation Army provides assistance each year through a range of social services. The organization provides food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter for the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. Brochu’s position on the Board is effective immediately.
Gas South is a provider of natural gas, serving more than 270,000 residential, business and governmental customers throughout Georgia and Florida.
