Cobb police have arrested a Marietta woman accused of stabbing another woman with a steak knife on May 16. Police say Antionette Blackman, 23, escalated a verbal argument between herself and another woman by heading to the kitchen and grabbing a steak knife.

According to investigators, Blackman then returned to the living room of the apartment in which the fight was taking place and made several swipes at the victim with the knife. Police say Blackman cut the victim’s stomach while thrusting the knife toward her.

Blackman was arrested on the day of the attack, but is no longer in police custody.

Combined with the mass stabbings in California by that Elliot Rodgers guy, this is another example of why we so desperately need stronger steak knife control laws!
