Murray Chalmers of Kennesaw won a $30,000 prize playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Lady Luck. Chalmers, who lives with his wife, Suzanne, has three adult children and three grandchildren. He intends to use his windfall to help them financially.

“I was shocked. I said, ‘Am I dreaming this?’” he recalled.

Chalmers, the owner of a staffing agency, scratched the ticket in his car after purchasing it at Minit Saver, at 3807 Due West Road NW in Marietta. He also recently celebrated his 70th birthday.

“It’s a good birthday present,” he said about his win.
