Cobb County police have charged a Powder Springs man with the misdemeanor reproduction of recorded material.

Anton Levelle White was arrested May 13 in Marietta with 97 copies of copyrighted material, police said.

Police say White possessed for the purpose of distribution 97 copies of box office titles on DVD.

Police say 23 titles were duplicate copies on unmarked, re-writable DVD-R discs. In addition to the box office movies, police said White and companion Melvin Ward possessed DVD sleeves, two USB cords and a purple marker matching the color of the titles on the discs.

Ward was arrested on the same charge of recorded material April 23. White is in custody with bond set at $7,500.
