David Stephen White of Austell was arrested by Cobb Police on April 8 on charges of possession of illegal drugs.

According to police, White was stopped while driving on Mableton Parkway for having a defective brake light. Once he was stopped, Police reported finding suspected amphetamines in White’s pocket during a search to which they say White gave his consent.

Police also found 5 grams of crystal methamphetamine in an Altoids mint tin, and a non-prescribed Xanax pill in a plastic bag.

White also had a knife in his possession with a blade that was over 4 inches long.

The accused faces five felony charges and two misdemeanor charges for his drug and weapon possession. He remains in custody at the Cobb jail.

Let's hope he is a veteran. That way, the special veterans court can give him medical treatment and counseling. If he's not a vet, he's up the creek without a paddle and could do about 50 years in prison for the 5 felonies he is charged with.
