Hillary Marie Brewton, of Marietta, is charged with felony aggravated assault after police say she purposely ran over a juvenile.

Police say Brewton sped toward the girl in her 1998 Buick LeSabre and struck her. The girl was transported to the hospital by an ambulance and treated for injuries she received when the vehicle struck her left leg.

The incident took place at the corner of Wright Street and Griggs Street in Marietta, according to an arrest warrant.

The warrant for Brewton’s arrest did not give the age of the victim.

Brewton has been released from jail on $15,000 bond.
