Delta Community Credit Union announced it will participate in April’s National Financial Literacy Month.

The Vinings branch, 3250 Riverwood Parkway in the Cumberland area, will have the free seminar “How to Buy a Car Without Being Taken for a Ride” on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The seminar gives attendees the information and confidence necessary to navigate the car-buying process. To reserve a spot at the seminar, visit DeltaCommunityCU.com/events.

During the week of April 21 to 26, Delta Community will also take part in National Credit Union Youth Week. This year’s theme, Catch the $ave Wave, will educate children on how they can benefit from saving and managing money. Delta Community branches will give away fun prizes and information about its Sandy Savers program, for children 12 and under.

On May 7 at the Marietta branch, 2627 Dallas Highway SW, and May 8 at the Vinings branch there will be a free Shred Day where the credit union will play host to shredding and secure disposal of personal documents.
