Marietta Police say a husband repeatedly stabbed another man in the head over a phone call he made to the man’s wife.

Kendrick Holland, of Marietta, was arrested March 25 on charges of aggravated assault. According to the warrant, earlier in the day, the victim engaged in a verbal altercation with Holland.

Then, at 8:30 p.m., the victim was walking on Franklin Drive toward Cobb Parkway when Holland pulled up in a GMC Silverado, according to the warrant.

“(Holland) got out of his vehicle, confronting (the man) about how he obtained his wife’s phone number,” the warrant said. “(Holland) was enraged, and without warning, began to attack the victim with a sharp silver object ... Once the stabbing stopped, (Holland) grabbed a broken mop handle and threaten to finish him off.”

Marietta Police say Holland stabbed the man with a knife multiple times in the neck and head, resulting in seven to 10 large cuts or abrasions.

Police say the man fled the scene on foot and was later transported to Kennestone Hospital.

Holland, who according to arrest reports, has a tattoo on his left arm that says “LOVE,” was released four days later on a $50,000 bond.
