Brenau University’s Elizabeth Schneider of Smyrna is on the nationally ranked Brenau Golden Tigers Softball Team. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Coaches’ Preseason Top 25 Poll ranked the Brenau team No. 17 in the nation.

Schneider is a sophomore majoring in health science at Brenau.

High national rankings in the past few seasons have become commonplace for Brenau Softball Coach Devon Thomas’s squad. The Brenau team in 2011 missed a shot at the national title game with a one-run loss in the semifinal game of the national tournament and finished 4th in the nation after moving up in the coaches poll all season long.
