Georgia State’s football team will take spring practice on the road Saturday, scrimmaging at McEachern High School in Powder Springs.

The Panthers are scheduled to work out at McEachern’s Walter Cantrell Stadium from 3-4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Georgia State is entering its second season under coach Trent Miles, who took over in 2013, following the retirement of the program’s founding coach, Bill Curry. The Panthers, in their first year as a member of the Football Bowl Subdivision’s Sun Belt Conference, struggled to a 0-12 record.

The visit to McEachern will be the first of two high school stops Georgia State is making, one week before going to Lanier High School in Gwinnett County. The Panthers’ spring practice period will end April 12 with a public practice at Panthersville Stadium, next to the university’s off-campus baseball stadium.
