Schmidt (4-0) went all seven innings, striking out 13 batters against four hits, three walks and no earned runs. Hiram scored its first two after a runner reached on error and the next batter hit a home run.

Sprayberry 1, Creekview 0: Alex Endres’ one-out single up the middle drove in Clint Coleman in the seventh inning, allowing the Yellow Jackets to walk off for a win.
With one out, Coleman hit a pinch-hit triple to deep center, before Endres followed with the game-winning single.
Sprayberry (8-4, 5-2 Region 7AAAAA) scattered two other hits through the first six innings.
Bobby Gauvreau (3-1) threw a three-hit complete game, striking out five and walking three. He stranded two runners in the sixth and seventh frames.
Sprayberry will play its third game in three days today when it hosts Northview.
McEachern 12, South Cobb 2: Clinging to a 3-2 lead at the end of the fifth inning, McEachern exploded for six runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh to take the Region 4AAAAAA road victory.
Jared Walker was 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs for the Indians (9-3-1, 4-0), who had 10 hits. Trey Harris batted 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Chase Sudduth went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Brent Alford was 0-3, but he collected three RBIs.
Alex Speas (3-0) picked up the victory. He didn’t allow a run over four innings and gave up two hits with two strikeouts.
McEachern will host, Pebblebrook today, while South Cobb is at North Cobb.
Walker 3, Mount Pisgah Christian 2: Though the Wolverines struggled with runners left on base, they still managed to walk off with the Region 6A win.
Jake Depiero singled in James Pittinger with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Pittinger had reached with a one-out single, then moved to second on Blake Whiting’s single.
On the day, Depiero went 4-for-4, contributing to Walker’s 16 total hits. Pittinger, Paul Grazzini and Cameron Bloebaum each had two hits.
From the mound, Bloebaum earned the win in relief of Pittinger, allowing two hits in two scoreless innings.
Walker (7-3, 7-3) will travel to Gordon Lee on Tuesday.
Harrison 12, Pebblebrook 2: Starter Andrew Patrick struck out six of nine batters he faced to improve to 4-0 on the year.
Andrew Burchell, Harrison Corley and Ben Brock eached also pitched, recording two strikeouts apiece.
Jayson Cook led at the plate for the Hoyas, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored, while Tanner Weeks went 3-for-5 with a double. Ross Neely had two RBIs on two hits.
Harrison (9-1, 2-0) will host Campbell today.
Hillgrove 7, Marietta 2: Hillgrove used a five-run second inning to run away from the Blue Devils.
John Devine led the way with three RBIs on two hits, while Jacob Farmer went 3-for-4 and had two steals. Channing Painton had a two-run double on his lone hit, while Devin Bilardello went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Chandler Joyner went one inning before Jacob Nix entered and earned the win for Hillgrove (7-5, 3-1 Region 4AAAAAA), which will host Coffee on Monday.
Kell 14, Riverwood 4: Kell scored five in the first, three in the second, three in the third and two in the fourth to pull away.
Brady Smith led the Longhorns at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBIs, two runs and two doubles, followed by two runs and two RBIs from Justin Russell (2-for-4). Jared Donald added an RBI.
Starter Grady Miller went five innings, recording seven strikeouts and earning the win for Kell (6-7, 4-4 Region 7AAAAA), which will host Cambridge today.
Kennesaw Mountain 10, North Cobb 6: The game was tied 5-5 until the top of the sixth inning, when the Mustangs scored five runs to pull away for a region victory.
In the sixth, Tyler Stephenson scored Reggie Pruitt on a double down the left-field line, and Alex Darwich scored two with a single to right after the previous two batters walked.
Zach Goodman drove in two more baserunners with a single shortly after, as the Mustangs had 13 hits on the night.
Tyler Stephenson went 3-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs.
Goodman earned the win, striking out seven of nine batters faced in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Kennesaw Mountain (10-4, 3-1 Region 4AAAAAA) will host Marietta today.
Dominion Christian 11, Weber 5: Trailing 3-0, Dominion scored nine runs in the fourth inning to run away for the win.
Luke Lewellan was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, while Henry Giles went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
C.J. Copeland earned the win on the mound, going four innings, while Manny Carruci went two innings, striking out two.
Dominion (4-4) will host Loganville Christian on Tuesday.
Walton 2, Milton 0: Noah Langub scored first for Walton off a free kick, while Felipe Galarza scored the second goal for the Raiders off an assist from Jackson Crow.
Walton outshot Milton 7-3, while goalkeeper Michael Jurick had three saves.
Walton (12-0, 4-0 Region 5AAAAAA) will host Roswell on Tuesday.
Mount Paran Christian 6, North Cobb Christian 0: Kevin Barajas scored a hat trick and added an assist to lead Mount Paran to the Area 7A home win.
Cooper Ingram had a goal and two assists for Mount Paran (10-1, 6-0), which led 3-0 at halftime. Alex Gernatt added a goal and an assist, while Evan Piper also scored. Stephen Craig and Matthew Harrison each had one assist.
Chance Hogan had five saves for Mount Paran, which will host Darlington on Tuesday.
Lassiter 3, Etowah 0: After being shut out in the first half, the Lady Trojans rattled off three second-half goals from Kallie Vogel, Margo Richardson and Megan McGuinness.
Goalkeeper Megan Richardson had no saves as Etowah struggled to get shots off.
Meanwhile, Etowah’s goalkeeper had 16 saves.
Lassiter (8-2-1, 4-0 Region 5AAAAAA) will play at Milton on Tuesday.
Milton 2, Walton 1: Milton tied the game with 36 seconds to play in the first half after a control breakdown by the Lady Raiders.
Walton’s lone goal came at the 19:43 mark when Leigh Purinton scored off an assist from Kristen Loughran.
Walton goalkeeper Peyton Ryan recorded five saves, with four coming in the second half.
Walton (6-3-1) will host Roswell on Tuesday.
McEachern 11, Carrollton 0: C.J. Norrell collected 10 saves to help McEachern post the non-area shutout on the road.
Hunter Blaedow paced the Indians (2-5) with three goals as they led 5-0 at halftime. Tommy Staebler and Michael Rega each had two scores and three players had one goal each.
McEachern will host Kennesaw Mountain on Tuesday.
Whitefield Academy 18, Grady 4: The Wolfpack exploded for 12 second-half goals, en route to the Area 1A-AAAAA road win.
David Ballew had five goals and an assist for Whitefield (6-1, 5-0), which led 6-2 at halftime. Justin Brendel added four goals and an assist, while Jonathan Wood chipped in two goals and five assists. Braelen Phillps collected two scores, Carter Dixon posted a goal and two assists and William Charles had a goal and an assist.
Ty McClemore played the first three quarters in goal before Bradly Washington took over in the fourth for Whitefield, which will host Starr’s Mill on Wednesday.
Pope 170, River Ridge 180: Alex Reedy shot 41 to lead the Greyhounds, followed by 43 from Steven Acheson a 45 by James Gruber at Indian Hills Country Club.
Pope (3-2) will play in the Kell Invitational no Saturday at Eagle Watch Golf Club.
Kennesaw Mountain wins tri-match: Led by Amanda Davis’ 50, the Lady Mustangs were able to hold off two other county teams at Fox Creek Golf Club.
Kennesaw Mountain totaled 159, beating Campbell (166) and Pope (169).
Kelli Page added a 51 for the Lady Mustangs, while Alexandria Sapp shot 51 for Campbell.
Kennesaw Mountain will face Hillgrove on Tuesday at Dogwood Golf Club.
Whitefield Academy 3, Landmark Christian 2: The Wolfpack won both doubles points, contributing to the non-area win.
Will Schultz and David Lemasters won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1, while Ruben Thomas and Holden Hosch were 6-3, 6-1 victors at No. 2.
Matthew Landry added a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles for Whitefield.
Northview 4, Pope 1: Austin Bates was the lone winner for the Greyhounds, winning at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0.
Harrison Watkins and Chase Forbes lost for the first time all season in the doubles, falling 6-3, 6-2.

McEachern clinched the match with a 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 (10) win from Nalinaksha Singh and Remy DeCoux, while Chase DeCoux and Arron Rann helped with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2.

Christian Wade came back for a 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles. The No. 1 doubles team of Raina Wright and Charlysia Davis won 6-2, 6-1, while Jaila Gladden and Alexa Kernoodle had a straight-set win at No. 2 doubles.
Rakyra Lockhart earned a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 victory for Pebblebrook at No. 3 signals.
McEachern (3-5, 2-4) will be at Campbell on Tuesday.
South Cobb 3, Marietta 2: Bolla Bamideli (6-1, 6-1) and Valese Wilkerson (6-0, 6-2) won for the Lady Eagles in singles play.
Marietta’s Sara Darensbourg won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2.
Erin Kobiella and Amber Andrews won for Marietta in the first doubles line, while Jo’nailah Archer and Skye Gorman defeated Marietta’s Kailen Gore and Livi Grant 2-6, 6-4 and 10-6 in the super-tiebreaker to take the match.
South Cobb (3-4) will host North Cobb on Tuesday.
Kell 5, North Springs 0: Samantha Dearing (6-1, 6-2), Katie Tarbell (6-0, 6-1), and Kysia Katsoudas (6-0, 6-3) won in singles action.
That was followed by a 6-0, 6-3 win by Shelby Nyberg and Dani Carroll, and a 7-5, 6-4 win by Amalie Alvarez and Melody Jabari.
It was the regular-season finale for Kell (10-4).
Kennesaw Mountain 5, Campbell 0: Chika Okonkwo, Ivy Evatt and Samantha Maddin swept singles action.
