Re: Don McKee column Wednesday on the upcoming Marietta School Board retreat, which noted that new member Jeriene Bonner-Grimes abstained from the board’s vote to reward system employees who stayed on the job during the recent icy storm.
After reading Don McKee’s MDJ column on the Marietta School Board Retreat, I thought I would share a few of my comments.
Most of us think the retreat is well worth the time and money.
We all appreciated the many folks that helped during the storm.
Leadership starts at the top so a good example was shown from the top.
He mentioned member Jeriene Bonner-Grimes
Abstaining means just that. What makes it against the good of all?
To Ms. Bonner-Grimes, kudos for being a concerned parent. As a new board member we know you are concerned about all children as you serve your term, and we look forward to it.
Best regards for a productive retreat.
