Smyrna Police arrested Kevin Lavaughn Reynolds Feb. 21 on three felony charges of possession and distribution of cocaine and marijuana.

Police say Reynolds, 36, of Smyrna had on his person a pill bottle with 38 rocks of suspected cocaine and eight jewel bags of suspected cocaine in his home. According to a police report, that amount of cocaine and the way it was packaged suggests he was distributing the drugs. Reynolds’ warrant states he was arrested on Teasley Drive off Spring Road. Reynolds was also charged for possession and distribution of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school and public park, Rose Garden Elementary School and Rose Garden Park.

The Smyrna man was released Saturday on a $35,000 bond.

If only he had been 1001 feet from a school. This wouldn't have been so bad.
