Rembert “RE” Chapman, 97, of Marietta died Sunday, February 23, 2014. A Private service will be held. Mr. Chapman was a World War II Veteran serving in the National Guard, Army and Navy.  He retired from Lockheed Martin after 37 years of service. Survivors include two sons, Lamar Chapman and his wife, Judy of Kennesaw, Kenneth Harris of Marietta; two daughters, Joyce Fowler and her husband, Jerry of Dallas, Carolyn Lynn of Cartersville; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.  He was predeceased by his wife, Eunice Lackey Harris Chapman. Contributions may be made to VFW - Wounded Warriors Project, 140 Powers Ferry Rd. SE, Marietta, GA  30067. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. 770-428-1511.
