Locomotive museum to let visitors in for free Saturday

The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History in downtown Kennesaw will offer free admission from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

During the special free day, visitors will have an opportunity to explore the Museum’s permanent exhibits and learn about the Great Locomotive Chase, one of the Civil War’s most thrilling episodes.

The museum is at 2829 Cherokee St. in downtown Kennesaw (exit 273 on Interstate 75).
