North Cobb jumped out to a six-point first quarter lead over Harrison in the first round of the Region 4AAAAAA tournament Saturday and made it stick.

The Warriors went on to win the game 63-59 and they will face Hillgrove in today’s quarterfinals.

Micah Woodard and Daniel Beausejour both scored 14 points for North Cobb and Darius Jones added 13, with 11 coming in the fourth quarter to help keep Harrison at bay.

Justice Morgan scored the bulk of his 27 points in the fourth quarter to lead Harrison. He threatened with a pair of late 3-pointers that made it two possession games in North Cobb’s favor but the Warriors never allowed Harrison to get within four points. Brandon Powell added 15 points for Harrison.
