KENNESAW — The Kennesaw State softball program canceled its Phyllis Rafter Memorial Tournament, which was scheduled for this weekend at Woodstock’s Twin Creeks Softball Complex.

The cancellation was due to several factors, including inclement weather in the area and field conditions at Twin Creeks, as well as travel and safety concerns for teams participating in the tournament.

In addition to Kennesaw State, the tournament was to include Akron, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Tennessee Tech and Southeastern Louisiana.

The Owls, 2-2 after splitting a seasonopening tournament at Troy, will next be in action next weekend, hosting three teams as part of a join event with Georgia Tech. Kennesaw State will open the tournament next Friday with a doubleheader against Tulsa.
