France Louise Moon, 97, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Tranquility of Kennesaw Hospice, Kennesaw Georgia. She was born on September 16, 1916 on a farm in Ohio and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana as a young woman. She raised one daughter, Dianne and eventually moved with her family to Marietta Georgia in 1988. Frances worked at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church’s Mother’s Morning Out program for several years and remained very active well into her 90’s. She was “Nanna” to many and well loved by all. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Williams of Marietta, her son-in-law Don, two granddaughters Heather McGill of Canton and Brittany Williams of Atlanta, one great-grandson, Turner and a great-granddaughter that will be born soon. She is preceded in death by her sister Racie Willis. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. Burial will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, a donation to 10 Women Of Hope, P.O. Box 235, Marietta GA, 30061 in memory of Frances would be appreciated.
