Man accused of flooding Smyrna hotel

A Clayton County man faces a felony criminal damage charge after allegedly ripping water pipes out of a hotel bathroom.

John Michael Copenhaver of Morrow is charged with ripping water pipes out of the wall in the bathroom of the Sun Suites, 3000 Highlands Parkway, Smyrna.

Police say in an arrest warrant he was intoxicated and caused flood damage to the hotel room and adjacent rooms.
