As temperatures drop into the teens tonight, there is a real danger that stranded motorists could fall victim to frostbite.

Here are some options available to motorists stranded on the roads tonight:

• The Marietta Police and Fire Departments are working on providing shelter locations for motorist who become stranded. If at all possible try to get your vehicle out of the roadway if you start to experience car troubles.

• If you are within the city limits of Marietta and become stranded and have no further assistance, call 770-794-5334 and MPD officers will get to you as soon as they can to take you to a shelter site.

• If you are driving in the county, any Cobb County fire station will allow you to sleep the night.

• Hammond Park Gym in East Cobb is also accepting stranded motorists for the night.

• Some hotels are also allowing patrons to sleep in their lobbies if they don’t have any rooms available.
