Xavieus McCray, 35, of Miami, has been charged with several felonies after police say he fled a traffic stop in Smyrna and left behind a little more than a pound of powder and rock cocaine.

According to an arrest warrant, McCray was stopped by Cobb police at Dixie Avenue and Windy Hill Road in Smyrna when he fled and abandoned his vehicle.

Police say they found 477.1 grams of cocaine, about a pound, and 28.5 grams of marijuana, a little more than an ounce, in his vehicle. A scale and $4,946 in cash were also found, according to the warrant.

In addition to two felony drug charges, McCray faces three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police say McCray had a Ruger 40 caliber handgun, Ruger Smith and Wesson 38 caliber handgun, and a Ruger 9 mm handgun. He was convicted of felony trafficking cocaine in Florida in 1997.

McCray remains in the Cobb jail without bond.
