Police charge Smyrna man in stabbing

John Thomas Myer, 28, of Smyrna has been charged with felony aggravated assault after Marietta Police say he stabbed another man with a folding-blade pocket knife.

The stabbing caused internal injuries requiring hospitalization and surgery, according to the arrest warrant.

Myer was released from jail on a $35,000 property bond.
