Dogwood Forest of Acworth, 4461 South Main St. in Acworth, is the first assisted-living community within the city and will have a ceremonial “topping off” of the structure. The event will feature the planting of a symbolic evergreen tree and a reception for the project today from noon to 2 p.m.

Solomon Devel-opment Services is the project developers and Trinity Lifestyles Management is the property manager. The $22 million, three-story, 87,000-square-foot facility will bring 70 jobs to Acworth and offer 93 units for assisted-living and memory-care residents. The community is set to open in April.
