Holiday party welcomes incoming Chamber Board of Directors

A cold winter night in Marietta found guests huddled at the home of Mary Anne and Ben Mathis.

Last week, the Mathises hosted a holiday party for the incoming 2014 Cobb County Chamber Board of Directors along with other movers and shakers in Cobb County. Ben Mathis is the chairman elect of the Chamber. He takes office in January.

Boy Scout Troop 444 honored five Boy Scouts last month at the Walker School in Marietta who earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Alex Denton, son of Leah and Steve Denton of Marietta; Yanik Desai, son of Bina and Bharat Desai of Powder Springs; Coleman Hedden, son of Julie and Russ Hedden of Marietta; Josh Reini, son of Susan and Joe Reini of Kennesaw; and Alex Schwarz, son of Angie Chatlin and Jeff Schwarz of Woodstock; were recognized together at a special Eagle Court of Honor.


Fashion spotlight of the week: In a copper skirt with oversized sequins that swished as she walked through the room — Patti Pearlberg of Marietta — looking ever so glamorous.
