The Blue Devils (5-1, 2-1) were dominant in the final quarter despite going only 11-of-24 from the free throw line.
Tyrell Tomlin scored 16 points and pulled down six rebounds for Marietta. Raynere Thornton had 16 points and eight rebounds. D.J. Bostick had 15 points and Cameron Jordan had 11.
Andrew Jimenez led the Mustangs with 26 points. Nigel Hayes had 14 and Alex White had 10.
Marietta will host Hillgrove on Friday.
Harrison 78, Campbell 65: Harrison was in control before Campbell rallied and took a brief fourth quarter lead when Nick Hughes converted a three-point play.
Jack Forrest followed up with three straight 3-pointers to help the Hoyas stretch their lead.
Justice Morgan led Harrison (3-0, 3-0 in Region 4AAAAAA) with 25 points. Forrest added 16 points, Brandon Powell finished with 12 points and Kenneth Kilpatrick finished with 10.
Lazarus Walker led Campbell with 19 points. Jaquan Ward finished with 12 and Randy McClure had 11.
Harrison will play at Kell on Saturday.
Walton 85, Etowah 67: Walton took an 18-point first quarter lead by shooting and pressuring well.
The closest Etowah got to Walton afterwards was 11 points early in the second quarter.
Jay Bowyer had 16 points in the first quarter alone and finished with 22. Elijah Weems led with 24. Nick Wells was also in double figures with 11.
Walton will play at Lassiter on Friday.
Wheeler 70, Woodstock 34: The Wildcats were strong defensively, which helped open up a 22-8 first quarter lead to set the tone for the rest of the game.
Jaylen Brown led Wheeler in scoring with 17 points. Avery Patterson finished with 15.
Wheeler will play at Roswell on Friday.
Pope 67, Riverwood 63: Pope was dominant in the first half before going on a cold spell in the second, but still played well enough to hold off a surging Riverwood squad in a Region 7AAAAA game. Chase Hutchins had 19 points to lead Pope (4-1, 1-0). Drew Romich posted 14 points and Garrick DeBowles added 13.
Pope will play at Cambridge on Friday.
Sprayberry 56, Kell 52: Sprayberry came from behind in the second quarter to take an eight-point lead at the half. Sprayberry was 11-of-16 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to preserve the win.
Meanwhile, Kell missed six free throws in the fourth quarter, which helped the Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jackets made enough free throws and pulled down enough rebounds down the stretch in the second half to prevail.
Sprayberry (2-3, 2-0 in Region 7AAAAA) was led by Armel Potter with 22 points and Nkem Ojeh added 20 points and led with 15 rebounds. David Tshamala was also in double figures with 10 points.
Sprayberry was 14-of-23 from the 3-point line while Kell was 7-of-17.
Grant Bryant led Kell (1-4, 0-2) with 27 points.
Sprayberry will host Central Forsyth on Friday.
Osborne 73, Langston Hughes 69 (OT): The Cardinals erased an early 10 point deficit and came back to win the non-region game in overtime.
D’ahir Haney led the way with 36 points, Kyrie Hogan had 13 and Tyriq Morris added eight. Quinton Thompson scored only two points but grabbed eight rebounds.
Osborne (2-2) will open region play at North Springs on Friday.
Allatoona 71, Villa Rica 56: In a Region 5AAAAA game at Villa Rica, the host opened with a 7-0 run before the Buccaneers got things going with a 24-4 spurt and took charge of the game.
Drew Swanson had 15 points and eight rebounds for Allatoona (2-0, 1-0). Bradley Brezet chipped in with 14.
Daniel Fowler had 11 points and was 5-of-5 from the free throw line. Chris Isill added 10 points and Shamar Griffin and Ephraim Tshimanga both had eight points, and Tshimanga had 12 deflections.
Allatoona will host South Paulding in a 5AAAAA game Saturday.
North Cobb Christian 77, McCallie (Tenn.) 47: Stephon Jelks scored 19 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Eagles rolled to a non-region victory.
North Cobb Christian connected on nine 3-pointers in the contest and put the game away with a 29-12 run in the third quarter.
Kendall Crute scored 17 points with 10 assists and five steals, Hunter Ware finished with 14 points and Jonathan Twine added 11. Trey Kalina just missed a triple-double, finishing with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 7 blocks.
The Eagles (4-1) will travel to Mount Paran Christian on Friday.
Walker 58, Elite Scholars 55: The Wolverines’ undefeated start continued as they held on to beat the first-year GHSA program.
Walker (5-0) prevailed, even after being outscored 25-15 in the fourth quarter.
Robert Baker led the Wolverines with a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds, to go along with six blocks. Gaines Lahue just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Spencer Palladino scored 10, while Ahmad McCullough and Matt Wheeler each had eight.
Walker will continue its non-region schedule Saturday, hosting Our Lady of Mercy.
Dominion Christian 47, Shiloh Hills Christian 39: Jordan Dorsey scored a game-high 25 points as the Knights beat their county rival in a season-opening win.
Dorsey also had seven rebounds and two 3-pointers. Tate Cooney finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and three 3s for Dominion (1-0), which will face Fox Creek (S.C.) on Thursday in a tournament at Augusta Prep.
Jason Allen scored 23 points to lead Shiloh Hills.
Harrison 59, Campbell 51: A dominating fourth quarter allowed the Lady Hoyas to overcome a six-point deficit in the Region 4AAAAAA game.
Though it struggled with free throws for the game, Harrison (6-1, 2-1) managed to make nine shots from the line in the decisive fourth.
Sydne Wiggins hit four 3-pointers and scored 19 points for the night, adding five rebounds and three steals. Kaylyn Brooks had 14 points, four rebounds and three steals. Defensively, Bailey Cross had six rebounds, and Zoe Guilmette had six blocks.
Harrison will step out of region play Saturday when it travels to Kell.
Mikayla Wilson had 11 points and Julie McKie 10 for Campbell
(1-2, 1-2), which will host Kennesaw Mountain on Friday.
Woodstock 57, Wheeler 46: Kennedy Montgomery scored a career-high 21 points to lead the Lady Wolverines past the Lady Wildcats in Region 5AAAAAA play.
Montgomery led three Woodstock players in double figures. She also had four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Kindole Pettway and Chandler Sutton each had 10 points for the Lady Wolverines.
Lyric Hancock led Wheeler with 14 points.
Woodstock (4-5, 2-0) will travel to Walton on Tuesday. Wheeler (3-2, 1-1) will travel to Roswell on Friday.
Pope 77, Riverwood 46: Kierra Henry had a triple-double to lead the Lady Greyhounds to a Region 7AAAAA victory.
Henry had a game-high 31 points, 11 rebounds, 10 steals and six assists. She led a defensive effort that recorded 19 steals for the game and helped Pope build a 45-22 lead at the half.
Bria Johnson scored 20 points and Caroline Kinsler added eight.
The Lady Greyhounds (3-2, 1-0) will travel to Cambridge on Friday.
Kell 55, Sprayberry 45: The Lady Longhorns trailed by five at halftime in a Region 7AAAAA game against Sprayberry before raising their shooting percentage in the second half.
They outscored Sprayberry 19-8 in the third quarter to reclaim the lead they would not relinquish. Judea Johnson scored nine of Kell’s 19 third quarter points and finished the game with 16 points.
Jordan DuBose also scored 16 points for Kell and Onyx Henderson added 12.
Dyeisha Brown led Sprayberry with 21 points and Saige Cornick-Turpin added 12.
Kell (2-3, 2-0) will play at Creekview on Saturday and Sprayberry will host Forsyth Central on Friday.
Langston Hughes 41, Osborne 37: Raven Brown just missed a double-double, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Cardinals dropped a non-region game.
Zutorya Cook scored 14 points and Nikira Goings added nine in the loss.
Osborne (1-4) will travel to North Springs on Friday.
Walker 40, Elite Scholars 26: Collier Middleton scored 18 points to lead the Lady Wolverines to a non-region victory.
Walker put the game away in the third quarter when it went on an 8-0 run to push the lead to 15 points.
Middleton added eight rebounds, six steals and four blocks in the win. Honor Stoner fished with eight points and Amitha Muthiah only scored one point, but she also contributed eight rebounds and four assists.
The Lady Wolverines (4-1) will host Our Lady of Mercy on Saturday.
Shiloh Hills 42, Dominion Christian 11: Shiloh Hills held Dominion scoreless until halfway through the second quarter. Kayla Allen had 13 points to lead Shiloh Hills and added six steals. Hannah Manross added 10 points, six steals and five rebounds. Samantha Henderson had eight points and nine steals.
The Lady Challengers (6-3) will head to Pensacola, Fla., this weekend to play a tournament.
North Cobb 42, St. Pius X 36: Hunter Graham (126 pounds), Blaine Martinez (170) and Josh Brooks (195) each had pins in a dual match victory Tuesday over St. Pius X.
The remaining North Cobb wins — Dillen Ivins (106), Tyesha Topps (113), Andre Burns (132) and Mazen Sabbagh (295) each won by forfeit.
The Warriors will be wrestling at the Knoxville Catholic Invitational this weekend.
