Sprayberry (1-0, 1-0 Region 7AAAAA) led 66-56 heading to the fourth quarter, but the Cardinals (0-1, 0-1) outscored the Yellow Jackets 29-19. Osborne’s Kyree Hogan’s two free throws with 3 seconds to play sent the game to an extra period.
Armel Potter led Sprayberry with 38 points and Tshamala finished with 23. Wayne Jackson had 20 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Nken Ojeh added 15 points, 14 boards and six blocks.
Osborne’s D’Haire Haney led all scorers with 43 points, and Hogan added 27.
Sprayberry will face Douglas County on Saturday as part of a Thanksgiving tournament at Rome, while Osborne will head to Augusta for a different tournament.
Shiloh Hills Christian 55, Maranatha Christian 37: Jon Allen recorded a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Challengers to the win at home.
Allen, who was 4-of-6 on 3-pointers, also had four blocks and four steals for Shiloh Hills (3-1), which led 16-6 at the end of the first quarter and 30-17 at halftime.
Trey Bleck contributed 16 points and six boards, while Riley Layton added four points and eight rebounds.
Shiloh Hills will be participating in the Georgia Regional Invitational in Cumming on Friday and Saturday.
North Cobb 55, Pebblebrook 20: The Lady Warriors dominated the Region 4AAAAAA game from the outset.
Kyrie’ Chandler, on her own, outscored Pebblebrook with 22 points. She also had five steals for North Cobb (1-1, 1-1), which took a 20-4 lead after the first quarter.
Aniya Corley added eight points and six assists, Kristian Carter had seven points and Alexis Luster had six points and nine rebounds.
North Cobb will travel to Darlington on Saturday as part of its Thanksgiving tournament.
Precious Walker had 10 points for Pebblebrook.
Osborne 69, Sprayberry 38: The Lady Cardinals opened the season with an emphatic Region 7AAAAA win.
Osborne (1-0, 1-0) led 21-9 after the first quarter and never let up.
Zutorya Cook led the way with 20 points, while Nikira Goings had 14 and Raven Brown 13 for the Lady Cardinals, who will travel to Parkview on Saturday.
Dyiesha Brown had 14 points and Saige Cornick-Turpin 11 for Sprayberry (0-1, 0-1), which will be off until facing Greenforest Christian in a tournament at Morrow.
Old Suwanee Christian 36, Shiloh Hills Christian 34: Outplayed in the third quarter, the Lady Challengers attempted a final rally before running out of time.
Shiloh Hills (3-1) led 18-12 at halftime before being outscored 19-7 by Old Suwanee in the third.
Hannah Manross led the Lady Challengers with 12 points, six rebounds and eight steals, while Samantha Henderson had nine points, four steals and six assists. Abigail Hendrix had eight points and 10 steals.
Shiloh Hills will travel to Cumming today to begin the Georgia Regional Invitational.
